It is time to renew my lease and the apartment management claims I must renew for 6 1/2 months or go month-to-month incurring a $550 a month increase. Is this legal in California?
It is a large complex and they claim that only a certain number of apartments can be empty in any given month and they already have the max in June - so I must sign a lease until July 15th. Can they do that?
