    Clogged Toilet and bubbling
When I take a shower I hear bubbling in the toilet. Then when I flush the toilet the toilet almost overflows and drains very slowly. The shower drains fine. When I get home later in the day, they toilet flushes fine. There are still bubbles that come up though. Everything seems to drain fine. I have read a few of these questions that say to snake the vent. Is that what this sounds like I should do? Is it easy to do myself? Thanks for any response.

Bubbles in your toilet bowl indicate that you have a partial blockage in the drain line.
You can snake from the roof vent. Put out enough cable to reach the base and about 20 feet more, you can rent a snake and do it yourself, Good luck.

You issue is a clogged drain and that could be before the vent. If you follow John's advice and don't get a fix then you must rod the actual drain. A toilets integral trap and the shower trap make that difficult so lifting the toilet may be needed. Try Johns approach first
