    Just Looking update
Just thought I’d let you know that Just Looking is being released from the hospital this afternoon. She will be on a leave of absence, and I am being given two weeks off work to stay with her. She’s happy to be going home.

    That's great news.

I'm so glad you get to stay with her. Time for chick flicks, popcorn, hot chocolate, chocolates, ice cream, oooh, fuzzy slippers, you have to have fuzzy slippers. :)

That puppy of hers will definitely lift her spirits too. :)

Give her hugs and kisses from me. Bear hugs and a kiss on the cheek, I'm not that type of girl. ;)

Thanks - I'll pass on the hugs and kisses (on the cheek).

Great ideas, Alty. I'll have to find movies that won't make her laugh too hard though, and no romantic stuff. Chocolate for sure, though. :)

Yes? Do you have something to add?

Actually, I do have a question for you. She needs to get something new to drive. She wants something safe, some speed and power to it, but somewhat practical. Money isn't as important as the feeling of safety. Any ideas?

That is a character off Family Guy... guess you haven't seen the show :o

I am not sure what kind of tastes she has in cars. Toyota(s) and Hondas are a VERY reliable car, along with Acura (the updgraded Honda). I would start with those three brands. Just my opinion of course. Volvo has some classy cars out as well that offer a good combination of both speed and power.

I think her tastes are changing. She was driving a convertible 350Z, but she's thinking more of an SUV now. She also wants something with 4 WD.

She is looking for a sporty SUV? If that is the case I would go with Acura. Their SUVs are top notch, classy looking and are very safe. Acura is the same company as Nissan (350z) so it wouldn't be a huge adjustment to her either.

Chevy makes some pretty good SUVs now as well. It all just depends on the looks she likes. Clearly a 350z isn't the safest car in the world.

Glad to hear she's coming home :)

Subaru Imprezas are AWD and fun to drive, not to mention you could hit one with a sledgehammer and it wouldn't do any damage...

350Z, tell her I definitely commend her first choice of car! Yum!

Well, unfortunately she found out that it wasn't that safe. It was her mom's car and she really loved the sportiness of it.

Thanks for both of your suggestions. Two girls shopping for a car is no fun. I'm going to recruit some guy to go along with us. :o

    We're talking cars?

    Yawn!

Mine is great, it has seats, a steering wheel, four tires, a CD player and seats 8. ;)

    I drive a mini van.

I'm one step away from being a soccer mom. :(

You are so funny. It's just one of the first orders of business, getting new wheels. I don't think she's ready to be a soccer mom just yet, though.

I would put JLo in the category of football mom before soccer. Just a hunch ;)

She would need a football dad then. Hint, hint, hint.

Was that attempt at match making blatant enough? :D

Glad to hear that JLo will be OK to be out soon. Thanks again Carolyn!

I didn't know what happened to the last thread, I know it got deleted... well, let's not go into details.
