How much can you earn a year working while collecting Social Security?

You can earn as much as you like but you will have a reduction in your benefits if you earn more than $1080 a month prior to reaching the age of 65 or 66. If you retire early at age 62 you can still work and collect your full month's benefit with no reduction if your earnings are under this amount. If you go beyond the $1080 monthly allowable figure you will lose some benefits.

After age 65 or 66 you can work all you want and collect your full monthly benefit with no monies being deducted.
