I am being sued by a credit card company, what do I need to do, can't they take my house or car if I can't pay them?
If you are really being sued, you will get a court date. What you need to do is try and work out a payment plan with them before the court date.
Normally if they sue, they will get a judgement and get a granishment of your pay check, and try and attach ( take) all the money from your bank.
So it would be to your best interest to work out some payment arrangement with them.
Generally, they cannot take your house for an unsecured debt. At most, they can place a lien on the house which would need to be satisfied only when you sell it.
Its also unlikley they can take your car or any other "real" property. If they take you to court and obtain a judgement then they can attach and cash assets you have. This includes bank accounts, salary, income tax refunds, etc.
