Math Homework, check to see if answers are correct
The average wind speed at a local weather station is 35.8 miles per hour. The highest speed ever recorded at the station is 319.0 miles per hour. How much faster is the highest recorded wind speed than the average wind speed? How much faster is the highest recorded wind speed than the average wind speed?

    I subtracted 319.0-35.8 = 283.2 miles, is this correct?

A meter is a unit of length approximately equal to 39.37 inches. If someone is 1.81 meters tall, what is his or her approximate height in inches?
    I subtracted 39.37 - 1.81 = 37.56 is this correct?

What is the fraction of beginning freshman that plan to major in arts and humarities or education. Arts and humarities = 3/25, education = 1/10. I added the fractions and got 4/35 is this correct?

Round 8.7563 to the nearest hundredth: I got 8.7600, is this correct?

    Thanks for any help provided.

First and last answers are corect I'm pretty sure. The second one you needed to multiply 39.37 by 1.81 and you should get 71.2597 inches. And the third one you needed to add 3/25 plus 1/10 and remember that when adding fractions you must have a common denominator(bottom number) which should come out to about 11/50. If I get any wrong let me know but I don't think I did.
