Hi my furnace blower motor is not running at all. Also my gas furnace is in an area where I can't get to or see the burners. When I set the thermostat to heat and turn the Fan dial to On, the blower never comes on. The furnace itself gets warm for some reason. I know the high limit switch's job is to turn the burners off when it reaches a certain temperature, then send a signal to turn on the blower. I checked the high limit and the voltage across the transfomer and relay, could it be the blower motor?

It is a good possibility it could be the blower motor BUT I would check to see if power is getting to the motor. This is easy to do since all you need to do is turn the thermostat to fan on and see if voltage is present at the motor wires. Post back with results.

Just replying, my friends uncle placed some oil on the screws of the motor and it worked. Is that even possible that all the motor needed was oil? And after I checked every device and component in the furnace lol.

Anything is possible but if the motor sat there with voltage applied and was not turning some kind of damage/overheating did happen but how long it will last who knows.

Most likely the motor will need replaced. Oiling the motor will be very short term.

Your absolutely correct, my friend called and said the motor stopped functioning. So oil was just a short term solution. So my best bet is to replace the motor as soon as possible right?

Yes, replace the blower motor,also replace the capacitor to match the blower motor.

Thanks for all your help but there is one las thing. You know what type of establishment sells blower motors? I know I can install it myself, so I do not want to call a repairman. Perhaps a Wholesaler?

A local HVAC wholesale establishment or a place like Grainger.

Once I took out the blower motor and installed the new motor, its now making vibrating noises. It's a 1/3 hp motor, and I centered the motor cage so it doesn't hit the motor casing. So that's not the case. I secured the blower with the all of the screws, but it seems like its shaking the furnace. Could it be I obtained the wrong motor or could it be the wiring?

Sounds like one of the balance clips came off the blower wheel while you were working on it. This is my best guess since I am not there to see the exact problem. I have seen that happen many times over the years. You cannot rebalance the blower wheel without special tools so you will have to buy one.

Okay, so do I need to buy a new wheel or a balance clip?

New wheel. There is just no way it can be balanced without the proper tools.
