I watched in the late 80's, probably from 60's or 70's. They are on a race across Countries, I think. There are a lot of obstacles in the way, and violence. In one scene he was climbing up a rope ladder, and someone lit the rope on fire. At the end, the winners went to a city and there was a celebration. That's about all I can remember, I've been searching for this movie for a while, haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Is it Death Race 2000? I can't remember the specifics of the movie, its been a while, but it's a race and you get points if you hit people etc.

Thanks Perukivel, yeah I found it finally the other day looking on Yahoo answers, I think. I had to look at the description of the movie a couple times to realize that it was probably the movie I was thinking of, my memories were a little foggy. Yeah, my memories were that it was a really good movie! Some people don't seem to think so, though.
