Validity of a will when relocating to another state
I had a will drawn up a few years ago while living in Oregon. I recently relocated to Washington state. Is it necessary to update the will because of the move?
    Thanks,
    Lloyd

It is still valid, but a move like that is sure to cause some changes - did you buy new property in WA? Is any part of the old will invalid/not relevant anymore?

If so, it's a simple matter to have it updated.

Mostly its going to depend on how its worded. If you were specific as to homes owned etc and how you dole them out. And since the move there have been changes of addresses or assets then you might want to update it. But a will is a will and once struck it remains in effect till its reading.
