I live in rural QLD and the septic tank on my property has been buried - no one is sure where. Doe anyone know how I can locate it, short of digging up my entire property?

Do you have a metal detector? The lid has steel re-enforcement rods in it and should be easy to find. Can you get in the basement to see what direction your lines are running? Can you see evidence of the bleeder lines? Maybe the grass is greener on top of them. Look around for something unusual, out of the ordinary.

The tops of septic tanks are usually only a few inched below ground, poke around with a metal rod. Where is QLD, Queensland?
