Hi Rick...

We need some info. here. What pipes are you planning on connecting into? Can you connect into the washing machine drain pipe or are you planning on installing a laundry pump and pumping the waste to a pipe elsewhere?

You'll need an 1.5" pipe minimum, an 1.5" ptrap and an 1.5" vent. The vent will need to connect into another 1.5" vent and it will need to connect into that vent at a minimum of 42" off the basement floor, OR you could also install a mechanical vent (see last image).

I attached an image of a laundry sink with laundry pump and vent. I also attached an image of a washing machine drain/vent with a laundry sink waste/vent piping setup (sink is on right). Hopefully, this will get you thinking.
