My son was put in jail Monday for violation of child suppport. Is this considered a violation of his probation? He is currently on probation for a first offender felony for 5 years.

The FIRST thing you've got to consider, is there are NO absolutes in the law... To wit: In ANY trial, you've TWO attorney's with TWO different opinions on the law. The judge decides who's right. Then maybe ANOTHER judge will decide if the first judge was right, and then maybe even another judge after that..

So, in terms of your question, I'm sure SOMEBODY in the probation department thinks it's a violation... But, it's YOUR job to convince the judge that it ISN'T. That MIGHT take a lawyer.
