Hi I use Fair and Flawless a few year ago and it burn my skin badly overnight so I took a long break from skin lightening.
But I got the itch again to lighten. I feel so down when I'm next to someone whose skin looks so white and my skin is brown but I feel so dark around white or most spanish people.

What hydroquinone product and strength will lighten me from dark indian complexion (Im a bit darker than Shah ruk) to mediterrane or midle east looking? Is hydroquinone best for my indian skin or is there something more suitable? And will whitening pills work, which? Please help me thanks.

I'd say Hydroquinone isn't the best solution for darker complexed Indian skin. It only breaks down current melanin, and won't prevent "outbreaks", if you happen to expose yourself to UV-rays including sunlight. Not only that, but you'd require over 2% for an entire body's worth of lightening, which many consider toxic and carcinogenic.

Only people who could really benefit from short-term use of Hydroquinone would be people who already have fair to very light skin, and happen to want to remove a tan or darker patches faster than usual.

Thanks, I was told same by someone else that back home in India, none of the whitening creams include Hydroquinone because it usually makes them darker. I wonder if Arbutin is better and what strength?

Arbutin is a tyrosinase inhibitor, so it may provide slower effects, but is considered semi-permanent. The average dilute is generally between 2% and 5%; anything higher is useless and may provide a bit of irritation.

So I have to keep applying it for life? How many days can I go without applying Arbutin before my normal dark brown skin tone comes back?

Technically no; it's possible for your body's natural tyrosine process to slow down or lower it's output. For best results however, you ought to continue the application at least once every 2-3 days in order to maintain the inhibition process.

A similar application for even monobenzone occurs, where the user has to use the solution in order to "maintain" an even tone or prevent any reactions from regular sun exposure.

Monobenzone?

I have never heard of someone using monobenzone without developing disastrous results after 1-2 years. I searched "monobenzone" on here, and all the accounts that reported success with monobenzone preliminary, either reported sheer disaster (disability to "maintain" an even tone) or disappeared forever.

Lol. For a second I thought Golden_Girl changed her screename. I was soooo confused. Lol. Welcome to the board. I'd stay away from the harsh chemicals though. Just my opinion.

Unless you're willing to take a risk with Monobenzone or understand exactly how to use it (or have medical supervision), it's best to stay away from it.

If I can get some solod testimony from someone, ANYONE who has used Mono (other than MJ's spirit, RIP) that has used Mono of any strength for 6+ months, a year, or 2, or longer, I'm game.

Ideally I would like to use first Makari for a few months PLUS a few other key ingredients (especially a-Arbutin) to see how I can get light with that, but it seems like there's no choice to wait till approximately the 3rd week of October for it.

Monobenzone actually affects different people, skin types, and shades differently. The amount of melanin separating your skin from complete and no shade whatsoever plays a very important role as well. Therefore one person's testimony or method of use will work in the same manner, nor bring the same results to the next person.

That's the major reason as to why medical professionals recommend Monobenzone for vitiligo inflicted patients only. Your body's predisposition has been altered, is aiming at lighter skin, and therefore works hand-in-hand for the most part.

LOL Everything has a different effect on everyone.

I am not looking for the details of the testimony, but for the whereabouts why so many success stories with monobenzone on this forum are limited to a couple months.

I don't think anyone can really answer that. From my point of view however, I believe that most people who've reached their goal generally leave and don't bother to let anyone know how it turned out. We've had a few users use Monobenzone see decent results in the past and fail to utilize it's potential, yet post so afterwards.

If I was you, I'd stay away from Monobenzone. It's totally NOT worth it in my opinion.
