How would I go about changing my clutch on my 1994 mazda b3000 now I have changed automatic transmissons before but never a standerd one I hear there is a "slave" on it and has to be bleed can any one help me here and what type of oil goes in this slave do I have to take my "Y" pipe off

Use DOT 3 brake fluid in the clutch master cylinder reservoir. I use a CalVan One-Man Economy Bleeder to bleed clutch/brake systems. Be careful not to overfill the master cylinder reservoir, which is one of the prime reasons systems fail. Fluid should be changed every 2 years.

How do you take the slave hose off and di I need to take the "Y" pipe off or can I leave it on

Think of the slave cylinder as a simple brake system. It has to bled and filled in the same way. Best to use a flare nut wrench on these fittings. It's filled with brake fluid. Probably the same DOT # as your master cylinder for your brakes.

You need to replace the pilot and throwout bearing at the same time.

The pilot bearing replacement may require an inside bearing puller to get it out.

The other tool you will need is a clutch alignment tool which usually costs a couple of bucks.

Next, don't forget to drain the transmission. Usually its filled with 80 wt oil. That's the step I missed when doing this the first time.

The "Y" pipe is going to be a clearance issue.

I didn't have your car. My slave cylinder is mounted external to the transmission. All I did was disconnect the hydraulic line and drain the fluid. My slave had a few bolts if I wanted to remove it.
