Glue on subfloor from stick on tile
I am peeling up the old peel~n~stick tile from our bathroom floor. There is bare wood sub-floor underneath. The glue left is super sticky. I was planning on priming the floor and then laying new peel~n~stick tile. (Its a temporary fix until we have the $ to completely gut the bathroom and start from scratch including making bigger). Now that I see how much glue is on the wood sub-floor I don't know what to do. Is there anyway to remove the old glue? Can I paint over it  ? I wanted to prime first in case the floor gets wet to help prevent water damage and help the tiles stick better.
Thanks for any suggestions!
