Mamary gland swelling in Female Poodle
I have a female toy poodle who had puppies in December and her milk did not come in for 3 days. Consequently all the puppies died. Her mam glands did not go down and she then started leaking a pinkish fluid through the skin (not through the nipples). It has been 5 months now and 3 vets later, and it is not getting better. We have since had her spayed, and vet has her on Rutin and lasix. She shrivels and dries up for 2-3 days and then fills up again. Can someone please help me?

Re: Mamary gland swelling in Female Poodle
    Hello,

I don't know much about dogs, but I would have a biopsy done! There is always the possibility of cancer or benign tumors which need to be removed.

Maybe some hormone therapy is needed. We sometimes treat male cats with Depo Provera. You might ask if there is a female alternative.

    Hope you find the answer!

    Regards,
