    My ex is german and have a son who was born in kenya. Is he entitled to a german citizenship

    Am not legally married to the father of my son who is happens to be a german... can my son have german citizenship and study in germany... since he was born in another country... can my son have the german citizenship?

    Yes based on heritage. The German government decided long ago that it would take back any germans that had fled the country or otherwise relocated. So with the child being german even in part they can move towards citizenship in germany if they choose.

    First, please don't start multiple threads for the same issue. I merged your posts into one. I would also suggest reading the TOS for this site and browsing around to see how questions are answered.

    As noted, a child born to a German citizen qualifies for German citizenship. I would contact your nearest German consulate for details on how to certify that ciitizenship
