I have a Honeywell Chronotherm III Thermostat. After, 5 years of use, the batteries finally went dead. Changed the batterries, and the thermostat is not working. How do I restart the thermostat, so that I get heat?

Check your batteries are they in right and are they good? If all is good take the batteries back out and shake the thermostat and beat on the palm of your hand(not a joke) If its still not working its gone. I'm surprised it lasted this long.
