I have been off my birth control since April or may. We had sex around the time I ovulated in sept. A week later I started my period, a week early. That was last Wednesday. I got off my period on Saturday. Had sex on Sunday. Now since Monday I have been having stringy, mucusy brown and pink discharge. Any idea what this could be? Obviously Im not pregnant since I had my period last week, but I'm very confused as to what this is and why its happening. Thanks for any answers.

Irregular menstrual cycles sometimes result as a side effect of coming off birth control pills, temporarily. You should start keeping track of these days since it can cause you to also be fertile during times you wouldn't normally.

It's caused by the hormone fluctuations before, during and after your period.
