Yesterday I had an electrical problem and all the switches in the circuit board swere switched back and forth individually. The electrical problem was corrected. However, now I have no water coming from the hot water faucets. I expect I used up the water in the tank taking a shower last night so it may be empty. I have switched the power to it off just in case it is. What now?

When you say that you have no hot water coming from any faucet do you mean that you have water but it's not hot orr do you have no waterat all? Let me know, Tom

There is no water from any hot water faucet.

Okay, I'm assuming you had good hot water pressure before this, correct? If so, I would go look at the water heater and look for shut off valves directly above the water heater(may be one on the inlet and outlet, but usually just on the inlet). Make sure one of them didn't get turned off(and they forgot to turn it back on) during whatever work they did. I would suspect plugged nipples on top of the water heater, but that doesn't just happen overnight, and even when they do plug, they don't plug completely, not allowing any water at all to hot fuacets. I really think you have a valve at the water heater that simply needs to be turned back on.

Just to verify, you would not have emptied the tank by taking a shower.. the tank water level never lowers,, it is always full, as you use hot water it is replaced by cold water. Please let us know about the valves, and if you are concerned about which one to turn on, and how, please post a pic of the piping in and out of the water heater and we will try our best to help you out... I'm really thinking this is going to be an easy fix, fingers crossed.. Lee.

This is a mobile home which may have a different heater. The nipples seem to be rusted and the connection for the hot water is brass and copper; for the cold it is plastic. The release valvue pipe for the water overflow has not tripped but water is flowing underneath the house from the overflow pipe which goes through the floor to the dirt. (This is girl language.) I have turned off the water to the entire house. HELP!!

I think that the water flowing underneth the hous is actually the cold water that should be going into you water heater.

You did a good thing by turning the water off, now you need to find out what the problem is and fix it.

I have a suspicion that a fitting on the pipe came loose and needs to be pushed back together and secured with clamps. Or it could be what is called a G coupling or a "Compression" coupling.

If you don't mind getting dirty this is something that you might be able to re[pair yourself.

You must open up the heater compartment and track the cold water supply back to the break. Once you locate the break let us know what you find, in detail, and we'll tell you how to repair it. Good luck, Tom

When you say release valve pipe for the water overflow, do you mean the pressure relief valve? IF so, is this the only pipe that is running water(straight out of pipe under trailer). Can you post a picture of the pipe that is leaking?
