    Whirlpool Refrigerator Lights
I have a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, model #GD5RXAXNQ00. Upon opening the refrigerator door the other day, there was a popping sound (like a light bulb burning out) followed by all the lights going out as well as the LEDs on the temperature control panel. There are three light bulbs, and only one seems bad (sound of broken filaments). The unit is still cooling properly, and the lights work fine on the freezer side. Could the door switch have gone bad? Is there a fuse that may be blown? Should I try resetting by unplugging the unit? Someone on another site mentioned it may be a circuit board underneath gone bad. If that's it, what's a ballpark figure on having a pro diagnose and repair something like that?

    Thanks!

You could have just had a door swith fracture and short out causing your "pop". An investigation into the lighting circuit should reveal the culprit by sight alone (I would say) as it popped, its should leave a noticeable black mark somewhere.

Or so I have noticed with these type of problems.
