    Light circuit
I have power from panel going into the 1st light, going out with 14/2 to another light then out and up to a switch to control an outside light (end circuit) (all 14/2) from the light with power it also goes out to another 3 lights then ends with a switch to control the 5 main lights. Is this possible with 14/2 or do I have to run 14/3 to the lights?

    Confusing.

Basically you run power daisy chained through all the lights. This makes power available.

Then you daisy chain each light circuit you want controlled by a switch. e.g. Sw1 controls light 1, 2 and 3; Sw-2 controls light 4 and sw-3 controls light 5,6 and 7.

Now assume no switch and wire them so that they are all on.

Now you need to wire a switch loop to the beginning of each set.

You can wire to anywhere in the set, but the switch loop and the power wire must pass through the same box.

I like to wire switch loops with 14/3 to allow for wall timers and automation systems that require a neutral.
