Where can I get a breakdown skematic of the inside of the transaxle case for a John Deere Sabre Lawn tractor 15.538 automatic and accompanying parts list. I would also like some information on where I could purchase these parts. I need the part which comes out of the top of the transaxle assembly to which is screwed the fan, the sheave, etc.

Any information would be appreciated.

I cannot say it will be satisfying as few parts are available through Deere at:
John Deere - Parts Catalog
And enter 1538 and pick the Europro. You may have a bit more luck with TuffTorq at:

Hi,
Pictures are easy; take that JD Parts link, type 1538, pick catalog #2676, Sectional Index, Power Train (hydro) and click on the selection to bring up a small picture to right. Go to the Print selector dropdown box and choose Illustration and Keylines. Maximize window and there you have it.
