    Pregnancy after mirena
I had my Mirena removed because my husband and I wanted to have another child. I've used Mirena before and had no trouble conceiving afterwords. We have been trying now for 3 months but to no avail. I've also had some terrible cramping between periods, when I'm supposed to be ovulating and during this time I feel like I need sex or I'll go crazy. I've always had a healthy sex drive but this seems almost manic. Has anyone else had these symptoms, or does anyone have any advice, besides going to the doctor? We just moved and I'm not at all satisfied with the doctor I have now. He just wants me to go on anti-depressants, when I have no symptoms of depression. I will go as soon as I find a better doctor. I'm sorry that this is so long and drawn out, I am just desperate for answers.

The best advice I can give you is... Be patient!

It takes the average healthy couple up to a year of actively trying before conceiving. 3 months is not a very long time, it can take a while.

Make sure you are already taking prenatal vitamins (bought over-the-counter) so that you will be healthier when you conceive.

I have 3 babies... my first was very young and unplanned. The second was wanted but still a schock. Had Mirena inserted in October 2005, had it removed August 2008 to get pregnant with the 3rd, found out I was pregnant end of September. Had a wonderful healthy pregnancy. Had Mirena inserted again in July 2009 and removed July 2010 to try to have baby #4... I know its early but I really feel pregnant... I will just keep my fingers crossed that it goes as good as the last Mirena removal!!

This question is almost a year old. The OP should have her answer by now.
