I had a ultrasound scan today and was told I have had a misscarige because they could not hear the heartbeat whilst I was looking at the screen I see a pulse on what was the heartbeat can a heatbeat be picked up at 9 weeks

A heartbeat can be picked up by ultrasound at 9 weeks, but you won't be able to hear it yet.

So is it worth to get another scan and opinon

Because I am booked in for a d&c Friday but not 100% sure he was right as I see a pulse on the heart

The doctor and/or ultrasound tech are educated enough to know what they are looking at on the scan. At 9 weeks, the common person can't tell heads nor tails (excuse the pun) of the fetus.

I'm sorry for your loss, but you should go ahead with the D&C. You have every right to get another scan, but I doubt the result will be different.

But u just told me a heatbeat can't be heard at 9 weeks that is what he went by I see a pulse on the heart and was not the only person to do so

Get a second opinion and follow through with your doctors suggestion.

You have every right to get a second opinion. Since we can't see the scan, it's hard for us to advise you on where to follow through.

OK thank you for your answers its just that when he had the other person come in to say that it had died the ultrascan thing was paused and he just looked and said the same as the other person. I am going to have the 2nd oppion just because I will always have the thought in my head if I go ahead with the d&c
