How tight do you tighten the hinges on a frame less shower? Can you tighten it too much so that it breaks the 10mm glass panel.

Usually these hinges have set screws which you can tighten. Yes you can over tighten and break the glass but generally these hinges have little metal plates that distribute the pressure of the screw. Not as easy to break as you would think.

This one does not have that plate that distribute the pressure of the screws. I tightened it but can't seem to get it totally plumb but it looks good to the eye and seems to work right so I might leave it at that
