I have had high blood pressure for some time now and at 65 is l20/60. My doctor is pleased with that reading. He must keep you out of the stroke range with the meds he is prescribing to you. We can't diagnose or prescribe here on AMHD as not all people let us know their underlying health conditions and it isnt a safe practice for laymen to be involved in.

Your trips to the bathroom will even out after a while. I am on 25mg of the same water pill as you, a higher dose, and only have to relieve myself once during the night. No salt for you either.
Your doctor is trying to keep you from strokes which can be very debilating if severe. Women are susceptible to strokes more so then men.
Everyone is different, what is a normal blood pressure for me, may not be for you. Leave it to your doctor to decide, please.
