    Sect8 Landlord
Landlord's rights against section 8 tenants
Hello, I am a landlord who has section 8 tenants. The lease was recently renewed for one more year. The lease states that the tenant pay a portion of the rent and also there is to be no drugs and alcahol usage. My tenant has not paid her part of the rent for the past 8 months and we also find alcahol bottles in the garbage when we do the recycling. She also has more people living in the apartment than what is stated in the lease. I would like to know if it is possible to get her evicted without losing rent? Meaning, if I report her to section 8 saying that she broke the rules of the lease, whould section 8 continue to pay the rent until she gets a new apartment? Thank you

Contact Section 8 and discuss this with them. The part about having extra people living there is a definite rule breaking by the tenant. You need to discuss the eviction with Section 8 to get rid of her.
