I'm 19 years old just out of a bad 1 year realationship and I haven't had sex in about 10 weeks.. I've had very unsual periods for the past three months.. One month my period was late and very light and short.. the next month it was seven days late and light.. I thought I might have been at that moment so I took a test and got a negative.. well I found out my boyfriend cheated on me a lot so I broke up with him... I put myself on the pill on August 27 when I started what I thought was my period.. Only now it's been over a month and I'm still bleeding.. I use condoms and I'm avid about checking them after but nobody is perfect.. but I'm concerned because I've been getting fevers and I'm constantly feeling like I'm going to puke. I want to know if I should stop taking my pill and set up an appointment with my doctor or should I continue on and listen to my mother who says it's just my body adjusting to the pill.. My biggest worry is what will I do if I am.. I know I made the choice to play adult games and I have to face up to the results of my actions but I'm just scared to do it alone.. any advice will help...

If it weren't for the fever, I'd think it was just your body adjusting. How long have you had a fever? And do you mean you've been bleeding for a month? That's not good either. Always better safe than sorry, I'd go to the dr's.

As a woman you will have many fluctuations with your period.
Fevers is not an indication of pregnancy.

Like I said before, the fever and bleeding for a month is not normal "your body just adjusting" kind of stuff. In fact, bleeding for a month is a major red flag that you should be seeing a dr.

Thanks I think your right I'll call my doctor and let you know what happens.

It could turn out to be nothing. But I would always rather be safe than sorry.
