    Menstrual cycle?
I've been on oral contraceptives for almost a year now. Two weeks ago I had my regular period. Now exactly two weeks later, I'm experiencing brown discharge. I have had unprotected sex, but took plan b. Could this be causing this irregular period? I'm VERY concerned, I'm only 17 years of age. PLESE HELP:(

Hi pumpkin... it could be a few things so try not to worry too much.

The best advice I can give you is to go and see your GP who will give you the correct diagnoses.

It's never a good idea to have unprotected sex, there are so many things that can be transmitted, use a condom to protect yourself in future relationships.

Technically, at least against pregnancy, sex while on oral contraceptives is protected sex. As mentioned before, it's still best to use a condom. Not only to protect against std's, but why only use one method when you can use two and have that much less of a chance of getting pregnant?
Taking plan b, from what you'e told us was unnecessary and the most likely reason your cycle is now off. I agree with orphan again, seeing you dr to make sure (and why not get tested for stds while you're there anyways) is the best advice.
