I live in a trailer park in Jefferson county MO... I was leasing to own a trailer in a local park.. I was not told when I leased to purchase the trailer that the trailer park was up for sale... I questioned the park management and they assured me it was not up for sale... which I later found out not to be true... The trailer is not movable... I then informed the owner of the trailer and the park that I would not be countinuing the option to own or renting the lot... and gave them 60 days notice that I was vacating the property... Today I was called at work by a neighbor to tell me that the park manager just entered the trailer... and took pictures while I was at work... the park manager has no claim to the trailer... and I have nothing from the owner stating that he would be acting on her behalf... This is a crimial offense is it not? Breaking and entering? What are my options? Thank you...

You could call the police and file a report. The neighbor would have to give a statement also. That is a first step good luck

Your neighbor said the park manager came into your trailer and took pictures? Well, just HOW did the park manager gain entry into your trailer? Does the manager have a key to your home?

Also, just WHO are you renting/buying from - the trailer park or a private owner of the trailer?

And, if the trailer park is to be sold, just what is to be done with all the trailers in the park? Is the park going to be turned into something other than a trailer park - say a condominimum property with 2 story condos, a parking lot, a commercial shopping center?

Usually when trailer parks are sold they are sold to a new owner who wants to take over the land where the trailers are located so they can collect the monthly rental income from the lot rent. If you have a contract to buy this trailer and have lived there for awhile, then you should look into just what use the land is going to be used for before you just jump the gun and move out. If you move out you will forefeit any downpayment or deposit money you made on the trailer. You will not be able to sue for the return of your downpayment or any earnest money you paid and any rental payments on the home as well.
