Algebra 2: Graphing the linear system and estimate the solution
    2x + Y = 5
    x - Y + -2

can anyone figure this out ?

    ArcSine
They are the equations of two straight lines. From your title, it sounds like you're to graph the lines and estimate the solution visually.

    Draw a standard XY graph.

    Starting with the first equation...

Set X = 0, and solve for Y. Draw a dot on the Y-axis for this point. (I'll give you this one: it's 5).

Then set Y = 0 in the equation, and solve for X. Draw a dot on the X-axis for this point.

Use a ruler to draw the line through these two points.

Repeat for the second linear equation.

The solution is the point where the two lines intersect.

    I guess that the second one is : x - y = -2

Draw the graph like ArcSine said, and estimate your solution.

Tell us what you got please. You should have... (1, -3)
