My son has received a 4 to 6 month sentence and is being held at liberty county jail in hinesville, ga. He has been sitting there since June 19, 2009 waiting to be transferred to pdc, will his time count towards his sentence that he is to serve or is this just dead time?

It should count as part of his jail term.

It will definitely be counted towards any time he is sentenced to.
