Shower/Bathtub diverter valve installation
Is there an orientation for installing a new diverter valve assembly?

Single knob or three handle? I assume that the diverter is part of the valve itself. There should be UP arrow stamped on the back of the valve. If diverter is not part of valve it does not matter.
