    Harbour Breeze ceiling fan light
I have two Harbor BreezeŽ 52" Aero Ceiling Fan Item #: 187541 Model: AER52BP5LKRC, both in white. I have owned the house for about 15 months now and have had to buy 5 new halogen 100 watt bulbs between the two fans. Those last ones both blew out this weekend. This means a total of 7 each $13 light bulbs. This seems rather excessive even for standard 75 cent bulbs and is getting ridiculous. Does anybody have any obvious idea why the bulbs keep going out? Is there a special bulb for fans to reduce vibration? I have not bought the brand that specifically says "no for ceiling fans", but I have never found a brand that say the ARE FOR ceiling fans, just no negative statement.

If there is not an obvious answer, then does anyone know if I can somehow change the halogen bulb fixture for a regular bulb fixture. Sure would beat scraping the whole fan since it is so convenient with the remote.

    Thanks

I would try a slightly lower wattage bulb. Halogens do get awfully hot, especially enclosed in a small area like a fan light.

Good. Thanks. The size Ihave been getting is what is recommended by the manual and instruction sheet, but I do understand that perfect conditions do not always exist. I'll look into it.

If it's the same type of fan, apply pressure to the glass and rotate counter-clockwise. Eventually it will drop out.

I live in Lafayette, LA. Where can I find the 120 volt 100 watt halogen light bulbs for a Harbor Breeze fan in this area. If not, where can I order these bulbs.

Touching the halogen bulbs can reduce life, A dimmer could help reduce heat, increase bulb life. Could have a loose neutral. Especially tighten neutrals on that circuit, and if sharing neutral, tighten connections on that circuit also.
I would go over all connections in panel(s) Taking note of neutral.

Your local hardware store, home center, or lighting store should have those bulbs.
