How do I check or replace the Main Relay in a 93 honda del sol?
My girlfriend has a '93 Honda Civic del Sol SI... As of recently its been have trouble starting every time we fill the car with gas. We have replaced the fuel filter, the distributer, the spark plugs and wires, and replaced all the belts. So I'm left thinking it's the Main Relay or the Fuel pump it self. Any suggestions? The car will crank and crank but will not start then we let it sit for about 3-10 minutes advance the key three times to prime fuel filter and then the car starts?. How do I go about finding out for sure if it's a Relay problem or a Fuel Pump? Any help would be amazing.

I recommend that you perform all tests, in Sections 1 and 2, below:

If the CEL stays on at times, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then perform the K-Test on the ECM. Was the new distributor made by Honda? We've had many problems with new aftermarket distributors for Hondas.

Here's how to troubleshoot the fuel system:

If you are lead back to the main relay, I recommend that you replace it, after disconnecting the negative battery cable first. It's usually best to replace them every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first.
