    Kenmore Freezer Frosting Up
Hi - I had the control board replaced on a Kenmore 106.53293201 side by side. The freezer had been frosting up, and the fridge was not receiving cold air. After defrosting completely and replacing this part, the freezer stayed non-frosty for about 5 days and the fridge was sort of cold. Now is is frosting again. This all started when my son didn't close the freezer all the way. I asked the repairman if a gasket (which is magnetized) could be bad and letting in some humid air and he said no, then charged a fortune to replace the entire control board. Help!

    KISS

Defrost the fridge/freezer manually again. A fan makes a good defroster.

If the unit has a time on/time off defrost timer, then it's possible it froze up again. Internal passages get iced up.

If it has a time initiate/temp terminate, then it should not have iced up.
