Is There A Warrant For My Arrest In Tennessee?
Boyfriend had a domestic incident he pled guilty to in Tennessee because he was told it would be in court for over a year and his father was ill so he got misdomeanor probation and skipped the state. My question, is there a warrant for him in Tennessee as he never met the terms for probation (restitution and some domestic abuse classes) which means he violated when he skipped. When you look it up it says case status: CLOSED, defendant status: CONCLUDED. Does this mean the matter is no longer there or simply just what the hell does it mean period? We are confused this is in Tennessee where I now have ill family and want to return will he be arrested if we return?

A warrant never expires so either there is an open warrant OR a warrant was never filed against him.

He needs to go to a Police Station and ask - of course, if there is a warrant there's a good possibility he'll be arrested on the spot or (if he is still out of State) his address will be forwarded to TN and they can decide what to do with him next.

It's almost impossible to know his status without asking.

Try calling the Clerk's Office and having them look through the docket that is on the court computer to see just what has been entered. Sometimes for misdemeanor cases all that happens is not on the website. Call and ask.

First he will have a warrant anywhere if there is a warrant, he can be arrested in Georgia or New York as easy as TN if there is a warrant.

If he plead guilty and was on probation and violated his probation, most likely there is a warrant. The case is of course "closed" since he plead guility, the issue now is with the dept of correction and a probation violation, which has nothing to do with the status of the actual case he was guilty of.

Is it possible it is just a bench warrant as he was recently pulled over for a seatbelt violation and was not arrested this was in another state not TN. Is it possible it is not in the Lien system or NCIC and like I said a bench warrant for just that state? Would they even extradite on a misdemeanor probation violation? Also since he skipped and violated could this ever be reverted to a felony charge?
