My husband and I have been married for 10-years. We have one special needs child(8yrs old suffers from Cerebral Palsy). Three years ago I obtained my unconditional green card.
Due to verbal, emotional and some physical abuse committed by my husband, we are getting ready to file for legal seperation/divorce. My husband has threatened to take my son away from me and have my green card revoked. For me the biggest issue is custody of my son? Can I lose custody of my son with me being on an unconditional green card and can I lose my green card? Will I be eligible to apply for citizenship?
