Hi All,

I was given a pot plant at work and have no idea what type of plant it is, and no one can seem to identify it.

It only likes partial sun stands about 30cm tall and is a really twiggy plant. Kind of looks Oriental. Has delicate green leaves at the end of the branches.

It was going really strong at work till I brought it home put it on the deck and the dog demolished it :(.

If anyone could tell me roughly what this plant was I would greatly appreciate it.

I want to get another one, and was just wondering what it was called so I could get another.

You have nothing left, to even lay the pieces out? Or did the trashman pickup?

It died off and nows there's nothing left.

Im so gutted about it, It was a good looking little tree thing.

I googled Oriental twiggy plant delicate green leaves at the end of the branches - Google Images

And came up with this JC Raulston Arboretum - Connoisseur Plants - 2005

Then googled new zealand plants - Google Images

You wouldn't believe it this is the stem, found completely by chance, I thought it had all gone.
At the end of each branch tip were the delicate green leaves.

If it hasn't been too long since the "accident", there still may be some hope!

I've listed several links that you can use to try, and make cuttings that may root.
One item you will need that you may not have is rooting hormone, it can be found at any nursery, maybe even a big box store that has a well stocked garden center.

At the bottom of Types of Cuttings try to stay with a heel or mallet cutting.

If you decide to go this route, make sure everything is clean, you will even see the word sterile, but don't let that scare you. Also make sure what you use to make the cuttings are as sharp as possible.
