Continuing to post the same problem isn't going to help anything.
It originally looked like:
j(x) = 2x +9
Which means 2x + 9 for whatever x we choose to use for the function. When a number is inserted in the parenthesis, it means use that number for the x.
So x becomes 7. Just insert it for x and solve.
