    Grounds for what,

Civil law suit, over turnig a prior court ruling based on the signature.

Next it depends on what is done with that document.

You can have fraud, theft and more from this.
You merely turn it over to the police and DA and they will decide the charges.

Report it to the police, for crimimal charges

Take it and hire an attorney who will hire someone to investigate, and possible sue the person for any fraud.
Have them account for the money.

Have you asked your father about it ?

Will a Certified Document Forensic Examiner's Report
... be enough to win this in a courtcase or however this is all handled? Thanks again... ( I love this site! )

    Hello jd:

I don't know what case you're talking about. Forensic evidence is considered in light of all the evidence presented. If it's the ONLY evidence presented, it will be the deciding factor. But any lawyer worth his salt would rebut the report...

There is. Between 2 and 10 years, depending on where you live.

And the answer is that you hire an Attorney and then the Attorney hires a handwriting expert and if it's NOT your father's signature, then the Attorney proves how you were harmed by the false document.
