Hi, got a compaq presario V 3000 from my niece but its not booting all the blue lights are on.. can any one help?

Anything on the screen at all?

Did it work before? When?

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.

Did it come with recovery disks?

Do the lights flash at after turning on like it is reading the hard drive?

Other than v3000, is it just 3000 or 3000t or 3000v?

Do you have access to an external monitor that you can connect to the laptop to see if anything will come on the screen while booting? (with the monitor attached to the laptop)
