First of all, what is nvq 2 in care ? You must be in the UK if you say Cumbria. Is this just homecare, or are you taking care of the eldery and disabled and doing pesonal care, med reminding, or meal prep, etc. changing dressings, using lifting equipment?

Starting up a homecare business seems to be a priority these days because some people think it is an easy way to make money, but not necessarily so when you consider the work that goes into caring for the elderly and disabled.

I don't know what the standards, restrictions, regulations are where you live but unless you have access to doctors and nurses to treat emergency situations, then you had better have all your ducks in a row.

If you intend on servicing more then your original clients, taking on new ones then you would have to have qualified people working for you to pick up the slack.

You have a lot of planning to do, but first check on the restrictions in your area regarding home care businesses.
