What classes should I take in high school if I want to major in journalism?
Am currently a sophomore in high school, and I plan to become a fashion journalist one day. I've done some research about the profession and I definitely view it as something I want to pursue in the future.
I would like to go to Columbia in NYC, but what other colleges have good journalism programs?
I probably want to major in fashion journalism.
So now, I just need to consider high school courses to take. I currently have the four, main, core classes, Spanish (by the end of high school I will have 5 years of it) and Drawing and Painting(elective)
As for my math, I have geometry and eventually I will end up in calculus in my senior year. I am in English CP( College Prep), US History CP, Biology CP, and Drivers Ed/ Gym.
I need to know what courses I should take next year or (switch into this year) to get into a good university.
I am planning to take journalism, and hopefully become part of the school newspaper/ yearbook.
Please tell me if I am following the right path, and advice/criticism is appreciated (:
I also do soccer in the fall, but should I get into any other extracurricular activities? BTW, I'm 15.
