Can I fly to chicago from New York with an expired visa
    Here's the story... l
I'm engaged and I'm marrying a wonderful person but he's joined the NAVY and he is at basic training (bootcamp) for 2 months...
Hes graduating on November but I am very worried because I'm afraid I won't be able to attend to his graduation.
The problem is I came to the US 7 years ago and I entered the US legally with a valid visa BUT I overstayed but my Visa doesn't expire until 2012... So I was wondering do I need a passport to fly from New York to Chicago, and if I do need the passport and I show it how risky would it be and what are the chances of me being deported...
I find myself very stressed out because I really miss my fiancée and I want to attend to his graduaton because then he would be away for deployment for another 6 months on a ship...
People please honestly help me and try and answer my question...

You do not need a passport to travel within the United States. They will need a driver's license or some type of picture i.d. to fly. Your passport would suffice for that if you do not have a driver's license.

If you don't have unexpired US driver's license, you should not fly...
I have witnessed persons being escorted out of the line a few times ,
One at Midway airport, one at O'Hare, one at JFK, etc.
