    Short Latin phrase
Last I checked there were no real Latin experts here, but there certainly were people who know more than me. I'm trying to find a Latin equivalent for the phrase "Think ouside the box," or even just, "outside the box."

I sure would appreciate any ideas!

Thanks for the answer and thanks for quoting your source. I know from experience that you can't really get a trustworthy translation from translation software, especially not for more than one word. This is even more true with Latin, because the nouns have cases, and changing the cases of a couple of words can completely reverse the meaning.

Anyway, anyone one else have any ideas? Is it true that "Deus ex machina" means something like "God from a box?"
