I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. When I try to start my car all of the interior lights come on as well as the head lights. But my car will not start. This problem has been going on for sometime now. But ever other time my buddy will tow my car to where ever I need it to be towed and it will just start up when we get it there. We at first thought it was the starter, we replaced that and the problem still persisted. So I need some help trying to figure out what the problem is and what I can do to fix it

Intermittent problems can be tough to find. Try starting the car times when you don't have anywhere to go, and can do a little work on it. Sooner or later, you will catch it in the no start mode. Then you can apply the methods found in the sticky. The sticky is somewhat Honda oriented, but contains material that will work on any car.

I had trouble with my truck most of the time I owned it dying and refusing to restart. Finally, I let it sit in the garage and idle until it stalled. I found a bad connection in the fuse box.

I have a 2004 pontiac grand am and I had the same problem .I would not start changed starter and it still dident work I took to go the shop and they said that my security system locked me out and it does it all the time now. Look on your dash and see if the security light flashes when you turn it to on position If it does then let it sit on on for 10 min until the security light is solid. And then turn it off and then turn it back on it should start what happends is when you turn your car on too quick the car is registering that it is being broke in to and it shuts off everything . Eventual you will need to get a new car ignition that's what I have to get this week. NOT fun Esp When your in a Hurry
