    Cycling to lose weight
I am using a stationary bike to loss weight---

Should, from the standpoint of optimum reduction, have the bike on high-tension, or low tension cycling?

Also I do it on average 35 minutes/day (I am 61)---is that long enough?
Should I rest on alternate days?

    Thanks!

If you are 61 with no immediate health concerns, four times a week at 35 min. each time is enough to make an impact on your weight. Plenty of water helps too. Have th ebike on moderate tension. You don't have to work that hard to get a burn out of it.

No, you can't comment on the accuracy of my suggestion. It will take a while for you to realize any significant loss unless you do something else along with it. Cardio is good, and that is what you are getting from cycling, but you need something else such as walking to balance it out. Walking is all over aerobic.
