Hi, I own a Maytag Quiet Series 100 dishwasher, which has been working fine for the past 3.5 years. Suddenly the dishwasher door won't fully open - I guess it open about 75 degrees of the 90 degrees it should open. I checked with my fingers for obstructions underneath the door, even used a mirror to look closely (that's kind of difficult as I don't have light donw there), and can't find anything suspicious.

Does anybody have any ideas?

There's got to be something blocking it. Perhaps a spring broke and has gotten itself into some sort of a jam. Id try dissasembling the door, and closing assemblies to see if anything has gone astray. Try to remove as much trim etc as possible so that you may observe the door in motion, while trying to identify what its hitting against.

Could be something as simple as a fork or something caught in a bad place.
